Fireball December 4, 2012.

I spotted this fireball when reviewing images from my 30 minute stack overnight. At first I thought it was just an artifact from a nearly full moon. But, on further review, I realized that I had in fact captured a fireball. When I looked at the images captured each minute around the stack, I found that you could see the residual debris from the meteor drifting towards the bottom of the image.

I took 11 frames from the time of the fireball, and stitched them together into a movie file. Each frame is 1 minute of the image. From the movie, you can see the residual debris from the fireball hung in the sky for close to 6 minutes.
